Berkeley experts say stoves can aid women in Darfur

Now the two are working to redesign the stove to better withstand the vigorous stirring required to make bread, as well as the wind that whips the Darfur region six months of the year.

They then hope to find metal workers in towns near the camps that can produce the stoves cheaply, perhaps for $10 each.

I don't know why I like this story. I guess just because it's a nice change of pace to hear positive news from Darfur.
